PPK was founded in 1946 and was one of the first French manufacturers of chainsaws.
After strong sales growth in Europe and Africa, the company faced intense competition following the signing of the Treaty of Rome. PPK then shifted its focus to distribution and, from 1967 onward, began importing products marketed under the ECHO brand and manufactured by the Japanese company KIORITZ, now Yamabiko, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of 2-stroke engines.
